Melby named Bismarck Market President, Hauff named Executive Vice President

Cornerstone Bank is proud to announce Kristine Melby as the Bismarck Market President. Melby not only brings 24 year of local expertise to her new position, but she also brings a wealth of banking experience. She is committed to supporting the continued growth and success of the Bismarck-Mandan area. Melby joined Cornerstone Bank in 2019 as the SVP/Business Development Officer.

“We have a very talented team and a great culture in Bismarck,” said Melby. “I am excited to take on this new role and be a part of such a great organization.”

Melby resides in Bismarck with her husband, Kyle, and their daughter. Melby values her role as a neighbor and contributor and has been very involved with many community organizations including the United Way Day of Caring, Women United, Reading First, Junior Achievement, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club and as a youth coach with the YMCA.

“Kristine is a great banker and I am confident she will continue to be a strong leader not only for the organization, but in the Bismarck community with her new role,” said Jeff Thomas, CEO.

Jerry Hauff, has been promoted to Executive Vice President and will be focusing on various organizational projects, as well as assisting in the transition of the new leadership in the Bismarck market over the next year as he transitions to retirement.

“When we opened the Bismarck Cornerstone Bank location in December of 2007 I had no idea how fulfilling the next 13 years were going to be,” said Hauff. “Personally, the fulfillment was the opportunity to serve our customers and getting to build personal relationships with them and for that, I am deeply grateful.”
